As Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries received the first order for ultra-large container cranes for Singapore's Tuas Port, expectations for additional orders are rising.

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. Ltd and PSA Corporation Ltd recently signed contracts for four Double Trolley Quay Cranes.

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. will be working on a turnkey basis in which all construction works such as design, purchase, production, installation, transportation and commissioning are included.
The contract also includes the option to purchase 4 additional container cranes of the same specifications in the future.

This container crane is able to handle the volume of ultra-large containerships of more than 18,000 TEU capacity, which are currently in operations.

It is a state-of-the-art product with high degree of automation and tocan be controlled remotely.
This is enabled by the use of advanced technologies like sensors and cameras.

The crane is also equipped with two trolleys for loading and unloading containers.
This will improve efficiency for of shipping lines calling at Tuas Port and will raise productivity for PSA.

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, which succeeded in winning the first bid, is planning to take advantage of its favorable positions in future orders by delivering high quality cranes to PSA on schedule.

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries had delivered 16 units of container cranes to PSA in 2005.
These cranes were installed at Brani and Pasir Panjang Terminals in Singapore.
