Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has recently obtained an order for the shipyard cranes from Saudi Arabian Oil Company.
Hyundai Samho will supply four (4) sets of goliath gantry cranes and twenty (20) sets of tower cranes to King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services that will be newly built by Saudi Aramco.
Hyundai Samho will carry out design, manufacturing, procurement and transportation of the sub-assembled cranes to the Site located in Ras Al-Khair, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The expected construction period is approximately twenty four months. The order excludes installation, commissioning, and start-up of the cranes at the Site. Saudi Aramco plans to place an order for site works within a few months.
Meanwhile, Saudi Aramco, a state-owned oil company, is constructing King Salman International Complex to build 40 vessels a year including VLCC, Drilling Rig, and Offshore Support Vessels. The project will be completed by 2021 to deliver the first ship in 2022.
