- Contributing to the improvement of energy efficiency by introducing a power demand management system and building ESS facilities

                                     

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries continues contributing to the improvement of energy efficiency by introducing a power demand management system and building new ESS facilities.

 

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries(CEO Shin Hyeon Dae) has been recognized by the government for its contribution to improving energy efficiency and developing the renewable energy industry in Korea.

 

On the November 17th, Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries was honored with the Prime Minister's commendation for "Improvement of Energy Efficiency" at the 2022 Korea Energy Awards, held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

 

More than 300 people attended the ceremony, including Park Il-joon, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Lee Sang-Hoon, chairman of the Korea Energy Corporation, as well as several winners and officials.

 

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries continues to be highly praised for its contribution to the energy efficiency sector, including:

Implementation of company-wide energy saving activities and the introduction of a power demand management system ▲Improvement of high-efficiency facilities ▲Improvement of ICT-linked facilities and the establishment of a comprehensive monitoring system ▲K-EV100 subscription ▲Increased overall efficiency of Air Comp etc.

 

Specifically, through company-wide energy saving activities last year, the company achieved an energy savings of 3,000 MW/h per week, for the duration of the year, by building and operating at a peak power (maximum instantaneous power) of 8,786 kW at ESS facilities. It also actively introduced new and renewable energies, such as solar power generation, to secure 9,800 MW/h of electricity generated annually.

 

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Energy Corporation, the "Korea Energy Awards" are awarded to those who have contributed to improving energy efficiency, developing renewable energy industries, and revitalizing the hydrogen economy through energy saving, technology development, policy promotion and education.

 

Among them, the Energy Efficiency Improvement Commendation is awarded to individuals and organizations that have contributed to improving energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption by introducing ▲high-efficiency facilities ▲process improvements replacement of old facilities.

 

Yoon Chul-han, the head manager of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, attended and represented the company at the award ceremony. He said, "As improving energy efficiency is an essential task for carbon neutrality and energy independence, we will continue to be reborn as a company that practices ESG management by doing our best to reduce energy and build eco-friendly facilities."
