Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HSHI) received orders from Teekay of Canada for a 155,000 CBM membrane LNG carrier and from Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) of Japan for a 155,000 CBM LNG carrier and from the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) for two 317,000-dwt VLCCs.

Since HSHI received an order from BP Shipping of England for a LNG carrier last year, HSHI have received orders for three LNG carriers so far so that HSHI could firm up their position in newshipbuilding for LNG carriers.

HSHI have received orders for 26 vessels since this year and high value-added vessels commanded a majority, i. e., two LNG carriers, four gigantic container ships over 8,000 TEU, four VLCCs and four PCTCs.

Meanwhile, to enter offshore _ engineering business, HSHI will build hull part of AKPO FPSO which HHI received an order from Total of France.
