HD Hyundai Samho (CEO Shin Hyun-dae) becomes the first in the industry to reuse 100% of wastewater through the addition of an advanced wastewater reuse facility.

HD Hyundai Samho announced on the 8th that it held a ceremony to inaugurate the advanced wastewater reuse facility at the company's yard wastewater treatment plant, attended by CEO Shin Hyun-dae and company officials. The advanced wastewater reuse facility processes wastewater for reuse rather than discharging it into the sewage system.

Previously, the existing water reuse system could only process 368 tons, approximately 12% of the average daily wastewater generation of 3,000 tons. However, with this newly added facility, it is now possible to treat up to 3,400 tons per day, allowing for the full reuse of all wastewater.

In addition, the facility ensures a stable water supply regardless of temperature or season, with an anticipated annual cost reduction of around 600 million KRW. The treated water will be used for various purposes, including industrial water, landscaping, sprinkling, and firefighting.

A representative from HD Hyundai Samho stated, "We are committed to establishing a stable supply system for production water while also taking the lead in preventing environmental pollution, thereby fully implementing ESG management."
