HSHI started the construction work for a 9,200 TEU containership, one of the biggest containership in the world, on September 1.
The ship, ordered by CMA CGM S.A. of France, is 349m in length, 42.8m in width, 27.3m in depth and 60.7m in airdraft from keel to mast top with a service speed of 24.1 knots.
At first, although CMA CGM S.A. placed an order for four 8,200 TEU containership, later, according to its request, HSHI expanded the capacity two ships among the four ships from 8,200 TEU to 9,200 TEU.
Meanwhile, HSHI has a backlog of two 8,200 TEU containerships, two 9,200 TEU containerships, two 5,100 TEU containerships, two 1,700 TEU containerships ordered by CMA CGM S.A.
