First Caisson for Quay No. 2 Expansion Installed

HSHI started to install the caissons for Quay No. 2 expansion on October 14.

The caissons are hexahedral box type concrete structure with a dimension of 32m in length, 17m in height which were manufactured by Hyundai Engineering _ Construction in Gwangyang and delivered to HSHI by sea.

HSHI will install five caissons in total so that Quay No. 2 could be expanded by 127m. The expansion work intends to cope with newbuilding projects for LNG carriers, FPSO, etc. requiring long-term construction work at quay which will be work-commenced next year.

Quay No. 2 expansion work will be finished in November.
