Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HSHI) received an order from Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC) of Kuwait for two 82,000 CBM LPG carriers.

The LPG carriers measure 225m in length, 36.6m in width, 22m in depth with a service speed of 16.75 knots.

As a result of this order, HSHI has four LNG carriers in its backlog including two 82,000 CBM LNG carriers ordered by A.P. Moller.

Meanwhile, HSHI has received orders for twelve ships consisting of four 6,500 unit containerships, six VLCCs, two 82,000 CBM LPG carriers until now this year.

AMPTC, owned by member countries of O.A.P.E.C., operates a fleet of LPG carriers, crude oil tankers and product carriers to provide maritime transport services of hydrocarbon substances for the benefit of O.A.P.E.C. and its members, as well as, to trade independently in the international market.
