Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HSHI) delivered a 9,400 TEU class containership to CMA CGM S.A. of France on May 12. The ship was named CMA CGM Medea.

The 9,400 TEU class Containership measures 349m in length, 42.8m in width, 22.8m in depth, 24.1knots in sevice speed, 60.7m in air draught with 10 cargo holds, 21 sets of lashing bridge and 8 tier loading on deck/hatch cover.

The ship is the third of eight containerships, consisting of two 8,200 TEU containership, two 9,400 TEU containship, two 5,100 TEU containership and two 1,700 TEU containership, ordered by CMA CGM S.A. as well as the largest containership to CMA CGM S.A. and HSHI and will be at the head of CMA CGM S.A.’s fleet of about 250 ships to contribute to the prosperity of CMA CGM S.A.
