Mr. Park Bong-an, senior vice president of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HSHI), was promoted to executive vice president _ COO of HSHI.
Starting his career for HSHI as general manger of Offshore _ Industrial Plant Construction Dep’t in 1999, Mr. Park was promoted to director of Offshore _ Industrial Division in 2000, transferred to Pre-outfitting Division in 2001 and promoted to senior vice president of Outdoor Production Division in 2005.
Since his appointment in 1999, Mr. Park has played a leading role to lead HSHI to rapid advance of production, i. e. improvement of painting production and dock rotating rate and diversify newbuilding ships from bulk carriers and tankers to containerships, PCTCs, LPG/LNG carriers and FPSO.
At present, HSHI has a backlog of 103 ships including tankers, VLCCs, containerships PCTCs, LPG/LNG carries.
