The first block of the keel for an 82,000 CBM LPG carrier, the first of two 82,000 CBM LPG carriers, ordered by AP Moller of Denmark was laid in No. 2 Dock, HSHI on February 5.
The LPG carrier will measure 225m in length, 36.6m in width, 22m in depth with a service speed of 17.2 knots.
Especially, Hyundai-B_W ME engine(electronically controlled engine) will be installed to the ship.
At present, as for a backlog of Gas carrier orders, HSHI has two 82,000 CBM LPG carriers for AP Moller, two 82,000 CBM LPG carriers for AMPTC, a 155,000 CBM LNG carrier for BP, a 155,000 CBM LNG carrier for Teekay and a 177,000 CBM LNG carrier for MOL.
