Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.(HSHI) launched a 321,000-dwt AKPO FPSO ordered by Total of France on January 28 at Dock No. 2.
The super precision techniques was required for the launching due to narrow 50cm gap between dock inner wall and outside plating of FPSO.
After post-outfitting work is finished in July, the FPSO will be delivered to HHI for topside erection.
The FPSO measures 310m in length, 61m in width, 30.5m in depth with 13 cargo holds and will refine 188,000 barrels of crude oil a day in the sea near Nigeria after delivery.
