In New Year address, Mr. Kang Soo-hyun, president _ CEO of HSHI, announced the company policy to develop infinite core company value, impress customers, comply with safety constantly and settle company culture of challenge and passion.
HSHI up company vision, New Challenge 2012, to have a capacity to construct 54 ships, amounting to $6.3 billion, for a year by 2012.
33 ships, including 12 containerships, 10 tankers, 7 PCTCs, 3 LPG carriers, 1 LNG carrier, amounting to $3.5 billion, will be delivered this year with order receipt plan of 64 ships, amounting to $7 billion.
Meanwhile, HSHI delivered 24 ships, amounting to 2.7 billion, with construction of FPSO, VLCSs, VLCCs and LNG/LPG carriers in 2007 as the 5th biggest ship yard in the world.
