HSHI held a spring picnic for owners, class supervisors and their families at Jindo Island on May 13.

In season of spring, they had a good time to have outdoor activities in the fresh breeze and soft sunlight and experienced Korean cultural Heritages.

They boarded a ferryboat to tour small islands near Jindo island, visited Ulllimsanbang(Atelier), enjoyed barbecue for lunch and saw Korean traditional music performances represented by Ganggangsullae at local cultural center.

Gangangsullae is an emotional and rhythmic dance that was performed on the beaches, fields and hilltops. On the night of the August full moon, maidens and young housewives gather in the open air and dance hand in hand in a circle with a special folk song. It symbolizes the energy and vitality of young women.
